Frosty Answers Santa’s Mail – Keep Those Melted Pounds Off
Dear Santa,
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy pre-Christmas schedule to share your thoughts on weight-loss with us. When I was a younger woman (I won’t tell you how old I am…even though you probably already know.) I was active and didn’t struggle with weight at all. But as I got older, the responsibilities of motherhood, wifedom and steady office-based employment made it difficult to stay active. I’ve lost weight here and there with different crash diets, and the pounds melt away…but they always come back! Please help.
Sincerely yours, Rollercoaster in Rochester.
Dear Rollercoaster,
Thank you for writing. It’s the day before Christmas Eve, and Santa’s extremely busy, so he asked me to field this question. I have a lot of experience with pounds melting away and coming back again, only when mine melt away, I want them to come back. For me, it’s pretty easy. When I want to regain the pounds that melt away, I just go to where it’s really cold…or at least below 32 degrees Fahrenheit…and wait for some kids to stroll by and bulk me up with some fresh snow.
For you it’s not quite that simple; you can’t just go to where it’s really warm and wait for the pounds to melt away. You need to make a healthy lifestyle a priority. This requires setting realistic goals, scheduling safe, effective workouts, planning balanced meals, understanding the science that will ensure your success and maintaining the balance in your life that will keep you where you want to be.
Balance is the key, and a healthy lifestyle has to be a priority. Your health is like the giant snowball at my base. If I don’t have that, everything else topples over, and then I’m just a big fat lifeless lump of snow…no good to anyone. This means you have to schedule workouts and plan nutritious balanced meals. Yes, that’s difficult to do with all of the pressures of work and family, so when you feel overwhelmed, you have to holler “Stop!” and remember health has to come first.
So what does that mean? Do you just blow off work and run here and there? All around the square? No. There’s much more to it than that. You need professionals who can help, and there’s nothing like the people at Live in Fitness™. They’ve been helping people like you melt pounds away for nearly two decades, and those pounds have stayed gone. At Live in Fitness™, health and weight loss are not magic, but a science. Their state-of-the-art testing equipment analyzes your current physical state and then develops a program, specifically based on your body and your goals. Their trainers, coaches, life coaches, chefs and nutritionists work hard to ensure you reach those goals. And when you leave, you leave with all the tools you need to maintain your weight loss and healthy lifestyle. Your work and your family will be glad you went…but most importantly, you’ll be glad you went.
I’d go myself, but it’s at Rainbow Harbor Southern California. Not exactly the best place for a snowman.
Happy Holidays,
Frosty the Snowman
